Description:
EUR Traffic Control Flaggers work with construction personnel to provide safety to traffic andpedestrians seeking passage through a work zone.
EUR Traffic Control Flaggers set up cones, signs, and safety barriers to indicate where trafficmay safely drive in accordance with ATSSA and company policy.
EUR Traffic Control Flaggers utilizes Guardian Smart Flaggers and/or hand-held signs to stop/slowthe flow of traffic through the work zone.
EUR Traffic Control Flaggers must be alert and always aware of their surroundings.
EUR Compliance with all safety regulations and company policies is mandatory and strictly enforcedDaily duties include but are not limited to:
EUR Setting up temporary work zones including advanced warning signs and traffic cones tomaintain during an active job site and then removed according to ATSSA and DOTregulations.
EUR Communicate with other flaggers using handheld radios.
EUR Inform construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
EUR Loading and unloading equipment from the company vehicleEUR Complete and submit all required timekeeping / paperwork on time.
EUR All other job duties as assignedRequirements:
EUR Valid driver's license is required to be hired and throughout employmentEUR Must have smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication to receive workassignmentsEUR Must have reliable transportationEUR Have and maintain a safe driving record throughout employmentEUR Must be able to travel to and from job siteEUR Must be able to pass a drug screen prior to and randomly throughout employmentEUR The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically capable of pushing/pulling all neededequipment from work vehicles and/or jobsites in order to perform all duties as assigned.
EUR Excellent verbal communication skills, a must for safetyEUR Flaggers must be able to safely work in all weather.
EUR Flaggers will be required to stand for long periods of time while using hand/arm movements andlimited breaks.
